Sgraffito Hebrew Pottery
Sgraffito is an ancient surface decoration technique used to carve designs into clay vessels. Underglaze is applied to a greenware piece (pre-firing) and then scraped away with a metal utensil to reveal the clay body.
The pieces in this portfolio are an original method, integrating Hebrew lettering using the sgraffito technique.
